| 17 January 2012 The UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency has allocated USD 63.6 million for Eastern Europe, including Azerbaijan, in 2012.
The funds will be spent on the programs for the asylum-seekers, stateless persons, IDPs and integration. USD 5,914,932 will be allocated for the relevant projects and programs in Azerbaijan. This figure was USD 5,933,021 in 2011. The most funds have been allocated for Turkey (USD 18,958,165) and Georgia (USD 14,954,098). The UNHCR was one of the major international donors that helped the IDPs in Azerbaijan in the 90s. In the first half of the 90s, the UNHCR provided the Azerbaijani IDPs with tents, water, food products, medicines worth USD 66 million. http://en.apa.az/
