| 26 January 2010 On 26 January 2010 Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Vlad Filat and Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Andrius Kubilius signed a joint declaration on cooperation in the European integration. After the signing ceremony, Prime Minister Vlad Filat said that the visit to Chisinau by his Lithuanian counterpart represents a very clear message of support for the processes in which Moldova has fully involved - European integration, as well as society's reformation. Lithuanian Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius noted that Lithuania would do its best to assist Moldova on the European integration path, especially in negotiations on the agreements on association, liberalised visa regime and on deep and comprehensive trade with the EU. The Lithuanian prime minister said that Moldova has always been and will be a European country. He was confident that Moldova will become an EU member at a certain time. This is not only the goal of Moldova, this is our goal as well, Kubilius said. Lithuanian Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius is on an official visit to Moldova on 26-27 January.
