| 10 December 2009 In the course of the High Level meeting in Sweden on December 10-11, 2009 within the framework of the Soderkoping Process Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Alexandr Kupchishin conducted bilateral meetings representatives of the Ministry of Justice of Sweden, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden and Swedish Migration Board. The parties discussed urgent issues in the bilateral Ukraine-Sweden cooperation in the area of political and diplomatic, consular and legal, migration and visa relations. The head of the Ukrainian delegation raised the issues relating to the gradual simplification of the visa regime between Ukraine and Sweden and Sweden’s political support in Ukraine’s dialogue with the EU on visa free regime with due consideration of the outcomes of the Ukraine-EU summit in December. The Swedish party was offered to launch negotiations on the possibility of conclusion of a bilateral consular convention between Ukraine and Sweden.
