| 7 October 2009 On 6 October 2009 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs K.Yeliseev held a meeting with a delegation of Finnish MPs led by Pertti Salolainen, Chair of the Foreign Affair Committee of the Parliament of Finland. The parties stressed the importance of invigorating the inter-parliamentary relations with a view to realization of the existing potential of cooperation between Ukraine and Finland. The discussion focused on European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine. The Finnish party was informed about the progress in negotiations of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, as well as about Finland’s role in promotion of Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic ambitions. Mr.Yeliseev emphasized the importance of further relaxation of the visa regime between Ukraine and the EU.
