A National Strategy on Migration was drafted by the experts of the Ministry of Administration and Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Family – the Office for Labour Force Migration, in consultation with representatives from other governmental institutions, international organisations (UNHCR and IOM) and NGOs active in the field of asylum and migration.
The objective of this document is to establish a unitary policy in the field of migration, asylum and social integration of aliens, in order to harmonise the domestic legal framework with the international law and the EU Acquis. It will be implemented by virtue of the “Action Plan for implementing the National Strategy on Migration”, which will establish the activities and the responsibilities for each ministry/institution with competences in the field. |
