| 25 June 2009 Andriy Veselovsky, Ukraine’s Representative to the EU, had a meeting 23 June 2009 with Jonathan Fall, Director-General, EC Directorate-General for Justice, Freedom and Security. The parties discussed matters related to development of a visa-free Ukraine-EU dialog, implementation of the EU Regulation 2006 on local border traffic in relations between Ukraine and neighboring EU Member States, and further enhancement of practice of joint border and customs control. When discussing a schedule of activities, including field missions of EU experts to Ukraine, within a visa-free dialog, both parties underlined the need for additional mobilization of resources of both the European Commission and Ukraine’s involved ministries and agencies in order to provide proper dynamics of this process.
