| 9 June 2009 A delegation of the Border Guard Service of the Republic of Moldova took part in the 61st meeting of the Council of Border Guard Troops Commanders of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Heads of the CIS border guard agencies participated in the work of the forum held in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russian Federation. The delegation of the Border Guard Service of the Republic of Moldova was headed by the Service’s Director General, Brigade General Igor Colenov. The meeting discussed topical matters of development of cooperation among the CIS border guard agencies as well as issues related to conducting a Victory Run along the state borders of the CIS participant countries dedicated to the 65th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War. The next, 62nd meeting of the Council will be held in Moldova this autumn.
