On 13 November the Head of the European Commission to Ukraine Mr Jose Manuel Pinto Teixeira paid the first regional visit in his new position to Odesa oblast. Amongst many, Ambassador met with the team of European Union Border Assistance Mission for Moldova and Ukraine (EUBAM) and the Ukrainian partner services.
“EUBAM is a special Mission which has a high importance for the European Commission. From one side EUBAM helps to stabilize situation around the Transnistrian conflict. And from another the Mission brings input to the approximation of the Moldovan-Ukrainian border to EU standards,” Mr Pinto Teixeira said during the press conference in Odesa.
