| 9 September 2008 Border agency heads of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Latvia have signed the Minutes of the Working Meeting in Brest today. In the framework of the Minutes, Maj. Gen. Igor Rachkovskiy and Gen. Gunars Dabolins have approved a Joint Action Plan between the State Border Guard Committee of the Republic of Belarus and the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia for 2009. The Plan offers activities to exchange experience in operation of border crossing points, detection and examination of forged documents, and prevention of border regime violation.
