The Customs Service of Moldova launched upgraded version of the official Internet web page www.customs.gov.md. The launch took place on the professional day of the service – the Day of Customs Officer. The web page experienced changes in the design and structure. For example, the "Customs procedures" section contains information for economic operators and separate information on the rules of import/export of goods by natural persons. The "Import/export duties" section is divided into rubrics related to the duties calculation and payments. It also includes the list of customs and tax facilities with corresponding links to the respective normative acts. New sections have been created -- "International collaboration" and "European integration" -- covering collaboration of the Customs Service with international structures and foreign customs authorities. The "About the Customs Service" section is dedicated to management issues and organisation of the customs system activity. The section includes information on the employment opportunities and conditions within the customs bodies, the ethics code, activities of the Centre for Customs Officers Training, the Consultative Committee and other departments of the Customs Service. Contact information of all customs houses and posts is also published in this section. In addition a 24/7 service "trust line" telephone numbers of the Customs Service (+373 22) 27 92 10 and 27 92 13 are made available in this section. The "Public relations and press" section includes not only news and press-releases, but also answers to the frequently asked questions submitted to the Customs Service. The new design of the site offers a possibility to visitors to participate in an interactive opinion poll, to subscribe to the E-channel, an electronic service for news distribution. In addition visitors can read the "VAMA" magazine and of customs newsletter, as well as see the photo gallery. Information is published in three languages – state language of Moldova, Russian and English. |
