NGO Partners: Moldova

The Law Centre of Advocates (LCA) is a public, non-governmental and non-profit organisation whose mission is to strengthen the rule of law in Moldova by enhancing and maintaining the professional level of lawyers and by promoting legal knowledge in the country. Since 1998, the LCA has been UNHCR’s implementing partner providing legal assistance to refugees and asylum seekers and representing them in courts and official institutions.

The LCA held a number of seminars for law-enforcement bodies on asylum procedure, refugee rights and international refugee law. Jointly with UNHCR, the LCA publishes compilations of legal instruments in national and international refugee law. The LCA was introduced to the Söderköping process in 2003. It is also a member of the network of experts.
