On 28 and 29 February 2008, in Strasbourg, the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance of the Council of Europe organised a European seminar with national specialised bodies to combat racism and racial discrimination. In the session devoted to explore the general trends in integration practice in Europe, Migration Policy Group Director Jan Niessen presented the practical framework for integration of third country nationals in Europe in the context of the fight against racism and racial discrimination.
