| In 2003, a Secretariat for the Söderköping Process (CBCP) was established by an EU project to work to facilitate and enhance intergovernmental cooperation, information-sharing and contacts between the EU and Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine.
The Secretariat acted as a service and coordination centre on behalf of countries and organizations participating in the Process. Due to the transformation of the Söderköping Process from a traditional partner driven project to a government led initiative, the Secretariat ceased its work in June 2010.
Due to the financing of the Process from the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, a project Secretariat was established at the Swedish Migration Board in Stockholm in October 2010. The project Secretariat is run by a project leader, a project coordinator and a financial officer. The project Secretariat, which is responsible for the administration of the project, also functions as a support and service structure to the rotating Chairmanship of the Söderköping Process. Until June 2011 the IOM office in Kyiv will continue to manage the web portal of the Söderköping Process.
