| 6 September 2007 On 4-5 September, the 4th session of an expert group which coordinates the draft agreement on cooperation in migration area in the CIS was held in the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk. The agreement has been drafted by Kazakhstan. The document has been considered at the two sessions of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers. The CIS Executive Committee and the council of permanent plenipotentiary representatives of the CIS member-states were instructed to finalize the draft agreement taking into account multilateral international legal acts in migration. The experts coordinated the text of the document in May 2007. At the same time they decided to conduct additional consultations because several other draft agreements on CIS multilateral cooperation in migration are currently at the stage of coordination.
