| 10.07.2007 On July 11 Belarusian border guards did take part in a workshop on introduction of biometrics into visa issuing process, production of travel documents with new security qualities and safeguard the external borders of new European Union (EU) member states in Vilnius. Within three days seminar participants were to exchange experience in implementation of EU standards for documents security, borders safeguard and border control.This workshop was a continuation of seminars having been previously held by the European Union Commission and Technical Assistance of Information Exchange Office.
