CBCP Secretariat held a press-conference on “Current Migration Trends in Ukraine”

On 19 June CBCP Secretariat held a press-conference on “Current Migration Trends in Ukraine” at the UNIAN press-agency.

At the press-conference latest project activities were presented, inter alia, results of the workshop on Labour Migration and Remittances, presentation of the research on Migration trends 2004-2006 in Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and newly acceded EU Member States.

The event was attended the Chief of IOM Mission in Ukraine Mr. Jeffrey Labovitz, UNHCR Regional Representation for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova Mr. Roland Weil, attaché of the EC Delegation to Ukraine and Belarus Mr. Bernhard Bogensperger, staff of the Secretariat of the Soderkoping process. The event attracted leading mass-media of Ukraine.
