| 14 April 2007 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia will provide financial support to UNHCR programme for Iraqi refugees and internally displaced persons and will donate 400,000 Estonian crones. Nowadays, the number of Iraqi refugees is estimated at 2 mln; as per reports from international agencies, every 8th citizen of Iraq is a refugee, among them elderly, women with children is the main group. According to UNHCR forecast, the number of internally displaced persons in 2007 may raise to 2,7 mln.
