| 23 March 2007 A meeting of digital mapping experts for creation of a demarcation map of Belarus-Latvia state border was held 21-23 March within the framework of the Belarus-Latvia joint demarcation commission in Minsk. On the Belarusian side, all preparations to develop the demarcation map are being done by Belgeodesia Republican Unitary Enterprise while the Agency of Geospatial Information of Latvia is performing them on the Latvian side. The length of Latvia-Belarus state border is 170 km. 417 border posts are in place at this segment. On 3 October 2006, border posts were put in place at the Belarusian-Latvian state border in the area of a junction of state borders of Belarus, Latvia, and Lithuania.
