Preparing the International Conference on Facilitation of Railway Border Crossing

VI preparatory meeting of the International Conference on Facilitation of Railway Border Crossing started working in Warsaw on 6 March. The meeting plans to involve representatives of border guards, customs authorities, and railway agencies from 36 countries.

It is expected that the three-day meeting will consider and approve observations and suggestions to the new draft Annex to the International Convention on the Harmonization of Frontier Controls of Goods (1982) as well as to the draft Convention on Facilitation of Border Crossing Procedures in International Railways Transport of Passengers, and to prepare an international conference on this subject.
